With RemoteWerk, a new RDP manager for Windows is now available, designed to make working with multiple remote systems clearer and more convenient. The project grew out of a simple need for a modern way to manage Remote Desktop connections without unnecessary extras or any dependency on a cloud service.
RemoteWerk is mainly aimed at people who regularly connect to several Windows PCs or servers. Connections can be saved permanently, organised into groups and combined with custom RDP profiles. Frequently used systems can be marked as favourites, recently used connections remain easy to access, and a Quick Connect option is available for spontaneous sessions.
Several RDP sessions can be open at the same time within the application. They initially appear as tabs, but individual sessions can also be moved into separate windows. This makes it possible, for example, to keep one connection running full-screen on a second monitor while other sessions remain open in the main window.
RemoteWerk also offers a fair amount of control over connection settings. Resolution, scaling, audio, clipboard access and local drives can be configured alongside options for multiple monitors, printers, smart cards and various performance settings. Settings that are used regularly can be saved as RDP profiles and assigned to multiple connections.
Credentials are managed separately from the connections themselves and stored securely on the local machine. RemoteWerk does not require a user account or an external service. Connections, settings, history and optional snapshots all remain on your own computer.
The application also includes features such as Wake-on-LAN, automatic thumbnails, restoration of previously opened sessions and a local audit history. The interface is multilingual and follows the visual style used across other Jessa Studio applications.
With its first public release, RemoteWerk has reached a point where the core features needed for everyday use are in place. Development is not finished, of course. Further improvements and additional features will follow in future versions.
RemoteWerk is available for Windows 11 and later and can now be downloaded from Jessa Studio.
