Frequently asked questions

What is Jessa Studio? General

Jessa Studio is my personal one-person studio for games, software, and digital experiments. Here, I publish projects I work on independently – projects that are important to me from a creative, technical, or thematic perspective.

Who is behind Jessa Studio? General

I am Jessica, the person behind Jessa Studio. I develop, design, and manage the projects myself – from the initial idea and technical implementation to the launch and ongoing maintenance.

Why is it called “Studio” even though only one person is behind it? General

For me, the term “studio” describes a creative workspace rather than the size of a team. Jessa Studio serves as a shared framework for diverse projects that might not otherwise fit into the same category.

What types of projects appear here? General

The focus is on games, small applications, web projects, and technical experiments. Some projects are more playful and atmospheric, while others solve a specific problem or serve to test a new idea.

Are all projects LGBTQ+ or trans-related? General

No. Some projects may address such topics if they are part of the respective concept. Other projects are completely independent of this and are aimed at a general audience.

Are AI tools used in the projects? General

AI tools may be used to support the creation of specific graphics, drafts, or work steps. I select and review the results, refining them further as needed. Design, technical implementation, and responsibility for the published project remain with me.

Are all projects free of charge? Projects & Downloads

That depends on the specific project. Some releases are offered for free or on a “pay-what-you-want” basis, while others may incur a charge later on. The applicable terms are listed directly on the respective project page.

For which platforms are the projects being released? Projects & Downloads

At launch, the focus is primarily on Windows. Depending on the project, additional platforms or browser-based versions may be added later. The specific systems supported are listed individually on each project page.

How do the downloads work? Projects & Downloads

Available versions can be downloaded directly from the respective project page. Additionally, there may be links to external platforms such as itch.io. The project page indicates which version is current and whether older versions remain available.

Am I allowed to share downloaded files? Projects & Downloads

No. Please refer to the official project page or the respective itch.io entry instead.

Only official sources allow you to verify which version was released in its original, unaltered state. With files that have been redistributed or re-uploaded, it is impossible to rule out the possibility that they have been modified or contain unwanted or malicious software.

Do I need a user account? Projects & Downloads

No. A user account is not currently required to view the website, read the devlog, or access public downloads.

How can I report a bug or provide feedback? Projects & Downloads

There is a dedicated feedback form on the project pages. You can use it to submit errors, suggestions for improvement, and general feedback.

The more precisely the version used, the operating system, and the individual steps are described, the easier it is to reproduce the problem.

Are there guaranteed support or response times? Projects & Downloads

No. Jessa Studio is a one-person studio, and projects are created alongside other commitments. I read incoming messages and feedback, but I cannot guarantee a specific response time or that every suggestion will be acted upon.

May I publish screenshots or videos of the projects? Video, Streams & Reporting

Yes. Screenshots, videos, reviews, articles, and other editorial content regarding publicly available projects may be published without prior request.

Mentioning Jessa Studio and including a link to the official project page are appreciated but not required.

Am I allowed to stream the projects? Video, Streams & Reporting

Yes. Publicly available projects may be streamed without prior permission. This also applies to monetized streams and videos, provided that no false association, endorsement, or official partnership with Jessa Studio is claimed.

May I use logos and project graphics? Video, Streams & Reporting

The logos, screenshots, and press images provided for this purpose may be used in reports, reviews, videos, streams, and similar editorial content.

While the files may be resized, they must not be altered in a way that creates a misleading impression of the project or Jessa Studio.

In which languages is the website available? Language & Contact

The website is initially available in German and English. Depending on their stage of development, individual projects may support fewer or additional languages. The information provided on the respective project page is authoritative.

How can I contact Jessa Studio? Language & Contact

For general inquiries, the email address hello@jessa.studio is available. Alternatively, the contact form on the website can be used.

Project-specific issues and suggestions should ideally be submitted directly via the feedback form for the respective project.

How are comments moderated in the devlog? Comments & Privacy

Comments are reviewed before publication. Constructive criticism, questions, and additional information are welcome.

Spam, insults, discriminatory content, personal attacks, and posts with no discernible relevance to the topic will not be published.

What personal data is stored? Comments & Privacy

The website processes only the data necessary for the respective function—for example, in the case of contact inquiries, project feedback, or comments.

The download counter records only an anonymous aggregate total. Detailed information regarding the processed data, its purpose, and the respective deletion periods can be found in the privacy policy.
